The Starhome® hybrid Intelligent Preferred Network® solution is for operators who wish to take advantage of both SS7 and SIM operated technologies, i.e. the IntelliGate-based remote registration control with the ability to control over-the-air the SIM-based network data and application. The integrated solution provides the benefits of both methods. The results are a higher probability in meeting steering objectives with a better response time to the user and lower signaling traffic to/from the VPMN.
As with the standard IPN, the hybrid Intelligent Preferred Network® solution allows operators to flexibly customize the service to a number of parameters, among them: visited country, group of countries, visited network, subscriber community.
