Outbound calls are routed directly by the VPMN to international carriers and then on to their final destination. Routing these calls often entails substantial IOT charges, which means that operators are missing an opportunity to increase their revenue margins and are obliged to charge an increased rate for the cost of international calls to their subscribers.
